Dalian Kowa Foods Co., Ltd., a Sino-Japanese joint venture, was founded in 1988, mainly engaged in shore fishing, inshore shellfish culture, inland freshwater culture as well as seasoned fish process, provides a great variety of fresh aquatic products and seasoned fish products. In1992, the company began to develop processing activities for export purpose. 

In March 2004, a new factory was set up with a total investment USD3.7million in Dalian Golden Pebbles Beach, a national tourist resort, known as the "Bright Pearl" inlaid in North China. The factory covers an area of 12, 000m, including 3600 m of the processing workshops and 2200 m of coldstore capacities. 

The company owns the state-of-the-art processing facilities, including the most advanced IQF machine, contact freezer, cold-air and hot-air drying equipments, seasoned fish equipments, and an air-quick-freezing compartment of 60m/tons daily.
