With self-owning wollastonite mine and factory in the northeast of China, we can supply wollastonite both in lump and powder. Our wollastonite stones are selected manually and separated into different grades. We can also select wollastonite stones according to buyers' requirements for specifications and grind into powder.
Our regular powder sizes are 200mesh and 325mesh. Micropowder is also available.
The characteristics of our wollastonite are low iron, low LOI, and high whiteness.
Our wollastonite can be well used for ceramics, metallurgy, plastics, paper, paint, rubber, building material, glass fiber, silicone fertilizer, etc.
Adding wollastonite into the glass fiber can reduce the amount of limestone in the glass mixture by bringing in part of calcium oxide while providing SiO2 for glass forming. Due to the decrease of limestone consumption, CO2 volatilization in the mixture was reduced, which not only improved the glass conversion rate, but also reduced the smoke emission in the furnace and reduced the heat consumption of the furnace.
Quality Control Points:
1. Magnesium oxide content must be strictly controlled. As it is associated with tremolite, the content of MgO in tremolite is relatively high and contains iron oxide.
2. It is advisable to use dense wollastonite as raw material, otherwise it has poor fluidity and is easy to block.
3. The composition of wollastonite fluctuates greatly, and it is better to homogenize ore in batch, process in batch, and the composition is easy to control and stabilize.
