Optical Plano-convex Cylindrical Lens

 

Plano-convex cylindrical lenses are useful for line imaging or uni-axial magnification in a wide range of applications. These lenses may be combined with other lenses to form complex imaging systems.

 

They are used to focus light to a thin line for effective harmonic generation in nonlinear crystals, in laser scanners, spectroscopy, dye lasers, acousto-optics or other applications.
