The alloying route for this high performance material may include combinations of vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting and electro slag remelting, according to the final application and the customer’s specification

Application

Alloy 901 rod is used for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, casings and seals with a maximum service temperature of around 600°C (1100°F). etc.
