Gamma Terpinene(Y-Terpinene)Widely Used In Fragrances
Gamma- terpinene is isomerized from alpha pinene,it is mainly composed of gamma- terpinene and other terpene hydrocarbons.
Because of its citrus and lemon aroma,gamma-terpinene is widely used in flavors and fragrances for
the reconstitution and extension of citrus oil.
Naturally present: in coriander oil, lemon oil, cumin oil and fragrant celery oil. Also present in the
grapes, celery, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, ginger, pepper, tea, raspberry, peach, carrot, soy, beans, mango, litchi, and rosemary.
Uses: mainly used in the preparation of artificial lemon and peppermint essential oil. Can be used as food spice.
Storage: Well closed in air tight containers away from sunlight and heat preferably in amber color glass containers.
