2.Applicable Standards
BF-03A kinematic viscosity tester is designed and manufactured as per the standards of ASTM D445 and GB/T 265.
It can be used to determine the kinematic viscosity of the petroleum products accurately(for Newtonian flow). The unit of the determined kinematic viscosity is mm²/s.
3.Apparatus Principle
The time is measured for a fixed volume of liquid to flow under gravity through the capillary of a calibrated viscometer under a
reproducible driving head and at a closely controlled and known temperature. The kinematic viscosity is the product of the measured flow time and the calibration constant of the viscometer.
4.Structural characteristics
BF-03A consists of the electronic control system, the bath, agitation motor, the holder for viscometers and etc.
The electronic control system control the temperature through the digital temperature controller, which can display the setting temperature and the actual temperature intuitively, so that it's easy to set and correct the temperatures. The bath is completely transparent glassy bath, which is convenient for the operator to observe the test process.
There are 4 viscometer holders in the instrument. Testing sample and keeping the temperature of others can be done at the same time. We have a clever design for viscometer's holder which is easy to fix the viscometer vertically by adjusting 3 positioning screws in the holder.
