EPDM is ethylene, propylene and non-conjugated diene terpolymer. Diolefins having a special structure, only two keys, one copolymerizable, unsaturated double bonds are mainly used as cross-linking at. Not become another unsaturated polymer backbone, will become edge side chain. EPDM main polymer chain is completely saturated. This feature makes the EPDM is resistant to heat, light, oxygen, in particular ozone. EPDM is essentially non-polar and polar solvents and chemical resistant, low water absorption, good insulating properties. In the EPDM production process, by varying the number of the three monomers, ratio, molecular weight and its distribution as well as a method of vulcanization of ethylene propylene may adjust its properties.
