High content of Mo makes this alloy has outstanding resistance of pitting and clearance corrosion. Low content of C minimizes the amount of Carbon precipitation during the process of welding, thus, it makes sure the welding structure is corrosion resistant. C-276 is one of the few materials which could resist the corrosion of wet chlorine gas, pypocholoride, chlorine dioxide solution, and it has significantly corrosion resistance of high concentration of chlorizated salts solution such as ferric chloride and Copper chloride.
