The traditional process is a one-step process, in which the vanadium or ammonium polyvanadate aqueous filter cake produced in the previous process is put into a reverberatory furnace, and the drying, deamination, and melting processes are gradually completed by heating for a long time.

The one-step process is simple and the main problems exist.
1. High energy consumption and energy utilization rate of less than 30%.
2. The recovery rate is low, and the recoverable rate currently achievable is 95%~97%.
3. Environmental pollution, ammonia gas generated in the melting of vanadium is generally discharged into the air, causing air pollution.
4. The working environment is poor. Due to poor sealing, the generated dust and smoke affect the environment and workers' health.

 

 

The three-step process for preparing vanadium from our company

Three-step process, namely drying, deamination, melting, completed in three processes
1. First, the vanadium cake is dried into a powder by a dryer.
2. Deamination of ammonia by deamination equipment
3. Melting through the melting furnace

Deamination

The flash Sde calciner is used to rapidly remove ammonia gas, and the dried powdered vanadium is continuously fed into the demineralization furnace, and the heated hot air enters the demineralization furnace to rapidly mix with the powdered vanadium entering the furnace. Rapid decomposition in continuous flow, after several tens of seconds, decomposes into V2O5 powder vanadium

In the melting process, a three-phase electric arc furnace, a radiant tube melting furnace, and a flash melting furnace are mainly used. The radiant tube melting furnace and the flash melting furnace are new furnace types for rapidly melting vanadium sheets, and are mainly composed of a flash melting chamber and a heat insulating molten pool.
